The Serama (Malay Ayam Serama), also called the Malaysian Serama is a bantam breed of chicken originating in Malaysia within the last 50 years. They were first imported into the US in 2001. Serama come in all colors of the rainbow and are recognized by the APA for in cage exhibition in black, white and exchequer. Tiny bundles of personality, they are friendly and can be very tame. There are 3 feather types in Serama. Smooth, Frizzle and Silkied. Silkied is not a result of breeding to another breed, it was a spontaneous feather type seen in the original flock imported to the US. Of all of my chickens, the serama are probably my favorites
We do not ship chicks, they are too fragile and will not ship juveniles until they are at least 4 months of age.
We have silkied serama, exchequer and chocolate laced in both smooth and frizzle.
