Silky Ducks
All birds are considered available until payment is received. I will delete videos as birds are spoken for. I accept paypal. I reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone for any reason.
I cannot ship until temps are below 80 the entire route. This is generally Mid-Sept in my area. 2 birds per box--no exceptions
I DO NOT HAVE HENS
There is a $10 box fee for shipping in addition to the postage which is calculated by your zip code. It's running around $60+ unless you live practically next door. Birds will be held until it's safe to ship.

Silky Ducks were developed by Dave Holderead. He wrote the breed standard and did not intend for them to resemble call ducks. You might see some folks calling them "silky calls" but this is incorrect. This feather mutation is simliar to silkie chickens and would be a disqualification if shown as a call duck.
You can however breed them to calls to create different colors. Thats how I created butterscotch from the appleyard drake I got years ago. I also do this from time to time to increase the gene pool.
Breed these boys to your hen of choice next year and you will have 100% splits.
I get my best results breeding splits to silkied--instead of silky to silky.
